Question:

Joke about Teletubbies and LSD?

There was a joke about the "Teletubbies" and LSD at the episode where Mr. Mackey got high. If I can remember well the 2 main-nerd-characters of the show watched this show on TV after the use of LSD. It was really hillarious :P What was that about?

Answer

Don't forget, Garrison also watches "Teletubbies" earlier in that episode after the marijuana mysteriously goes missing during Mackey's drug presentation. As for "what that was about", it was about exactly what you mentioned. I mean, have you watched that show? It makes no sense!

Question:

Is that a parody of "An Officer and a Gentleman"??

Hello Mr.FAQ. I was just wondering in the episode "Erection Day" is that a parody of "An officer and a gentlemen" when Jimmy picks up the prostitute and carries her to the hotel room? Just wondering.

Answer

Was it the song or the nut-gobblin' that gave that away? You're right on the money -- when Jimmy carries off Nut Gobbler, that's a pretty ripe parody of the closing scene to "An Officer and a Gentleman". As I mentioned, even the song playing over this ("Up Where We Belong" by Joe Cocker and Jennifer Warner) is also from that 1982 tear-jerker.

Question:

Randy's scream in Something You Can Do With Your Finger?

In the episode, "Something You Can do with Your Finger," Randy screams "No! NOOOOO!" and smashes his head into the china cabinet (in response to Stan's wish to join a boyband). Randy's angry desperation at that moment is totally unexpected, and taken with a slightly different sounding voice at that moment, the humor is heightened. So I'm anxious to know if Randy's voice at that moment is maybe a sample from a movie or something. Thanks. LV

Answer

I'm proud of you guy, been wondering when someone was gonna ask about that. Yes, Randy's voice and reaction are definitely a bit out of whack, and that's because it's a huge parody of a scene in "Star Trek: First Contact", where Jean-Luc Picard throws his phaser through a display case and screams "Noo! NOO!!" dramatically. As you mentioned, even the voice is very Picard-ish.

Question:

What's the song when Cartman fights the midget?

Hi FAQ dude, I was wondering what's the name of the song when Cartman is fighting that midget? That episode is full of win!

Answer

You mean when Cartman beats the crap out of Dr. Nelson?? That epic pump-up jam is called "Down With The Sickness" by Disturbed. Say "Uncle"!!

Question:

Is Cartman singing the same song that Token does in "Wing"?

Dear FAQ guy, is the song that Cartman sings while he makes his pop-tart butter ball surprise in the "Fat Camp" episode the same song that Token sings in the Miss Colorado pageant in the "Wing" episode? Just wondering if this was the same song or if its some other song.

Answer

Damn dude, well done. YES, that's Cartman humming the Lou Rawls standard "You'll Never Find A Love Like Mine" while making himself fatter....the same song that Token sings in "Wing" during the pageant. Never noticed that one before, nicely done.
